Rose Prince Lejac Annual Pilgrimage
Rose Prince Pilgrimage
The Diocese of Prince George invites you to join us for the annual Rose Prince Pilgrimage on July 5-7 at Lejac, B.C., about two hours west of Prince George. Rose Prince was a member of the Carrier (Dakelh) Nation who attended the residential school at Lejac, overlooking Fraser Lake. When her grave had to be moved in 1951, her remains were discovered to be in pristine condition. Each summer pilgrims gather on the grounds where the former school once stood for Mass, graveside prayers, and fellowship. This year's guest speaker is Bishop Gary Gordon of Victoria. For more information, contact Father Vincent James at 250-699-6593.
